Hey Brandon, you inspired me to get the radio! Just installed it, but I’m having issues with the radio controls. Do you know what wire it was?

Great video! I appreciate all you do with the corolla. You have definitely inspired me and opened the door into the car world. We recently got a 17 and I found a cheap Borla and put it on. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions on what I should do next?

Lower springs.

Thank you! I appreciate you watching the videos! I would also say an intake, from Injen. Gives the car a nice intake sound! and possible some coil overs!

@@BrandonStellmachAwesome, thanks! I don’t have to tune it after those right?
@BrandonStellmach5 ай бұрын
A tune is not needed for these. And none of them will cause a CEL. But a tune will help you get the most power if you want!

What! That radio is over $400!!! No way.
@BrandonStellmach5 ай бұрын
I do agree, this is a pricey radio. This radio has much better hardware and software than most other Android radios, and they last a very long time. Other cheap radios I have had, only lasted about a year before I started having issues.
@Sark_Karmir5 ай бұрын
@@BrandonStellmach well considering I paid 1k for the car it's hard justifying the price of the radio. Great video man. Keep up the good work.

The other one was totaled, because I was struck by lightning while I was driving. I made a few videos about the incident.

I have this screen, and what seems like every tutorial/review never says anything about how a laggy mess it is. Spotify, KZbin, and Google Maps are unusable if you connect them via a hotspot and run them on the screen. ONLY USE CARPLEY OR ANDROID AUTO! Ah, and that's not it. I use Android Auto and have a policy: don't touch it, or it will lag. The mirroring helps with the lag since it's not running on this potato. So I plot a point via my phone's Google Maps, and it works fine unless I touch it (zoom in or out, change settings, open Spotify to change music, etc.). Also, the audio starts to stutter whenever I do anything else on my phone, like scroll through Instagram. LOL.
@BrandonStellmach5 ай бұрын
I do agree with this, that trying to use the native apps on the radio is not the best way to utilize the radio. Utilizing this radio for Apple CarPlay or android auto, is the way to go.
@MC-ExcaliburProject5 ай бұрын
@@BrandonStellmach Yeah, but it also lags; it's just more usable. Spotify sometimes stutters, but it is short. Also, I can't change the song/adjust the map via the screen = lags. Other than that, it's a suitable replacement for a stock radio for my 2011 Corolla for $80. It also came with a backup camera; I've gotta check it out. By the way, the screen menu works very smoothly, the radio too. I noticed that it's mostly the apps that have issues.
