Toyota Estima Hybrid 2009 - 12V battery replacement

I just bought a 2008 Estima hybrid (grey import). The set up seems the same for this model. Is this the sole battery for the car or is there another one under the bonnet? And can anyone tell me how to lift the bonnet? I can release it from under the dash, and it pops up about an inch ...but there is a catch in the centre front under the bonnet and I can't work out how to release it...

The hybrid battery is between the front seats. The bonnet catch I think you have to sort of squeeze it, can't remember exactly.

I received an error after changed the battery "hybrid system check", did you get the same problem?

No. I've heard some people see this message when the 12V battery needs replacing. Also they see it when the hybrid battery needs replacing.

@@AbbeyAerialVideo I just let the temperature sensor to touch somewhere on new battery, and the error is gone.

That’s the wrong battery. U need to buy the Panasonic original battery, which comes with fluid drain pipe and temperature sensor.

Oh no. What are the consequences? The Panasonic one was a lot more expensive!
