Shoey's Adventures great Q, I needed more room in the back for the tyres. I had the option of extending the bump stops and limiting the up travel. Or Body lift. And here we are

Hey mate, I got them from www.busybee.com.au/product/bushes-spacers-packers-and-lifting-blocks/ then i just went to the bolt shop and brought the right length bolts.

Endo Masta the body lift was just to make a little more room for the 33’s in the rear. I’m all honesty you won’t notice it off camber it’s not that huge that it’ll make a difference.

eireden foord I’d rather not say 🤣 I spent heaps of time stuffing around with the bolts at the back, getting a new flex head spanner, the washer bottle. And just the unknown. I started Saturday (also I had another 3hour commitment on sat) and finished Sunday around lunch In all seriousness I’d say you could do it easy in 4 including adjusting the bull bar with what I know now

The legalities would be total lifted height. Combine spring, body and tyre you would exceed the the max increase. In saying that I never had any issues with mine. Even on 33s with 1” body and 3n2 suspension it doesn’t look out of place. When you look at say a 6” nav on 35s it stands out well and truly.

Sorry mate I have since sold this car and started a new project. They were 2x 50 mm and 6 x 75mm all 1” I think the bolt was a m10. You’d be best to get a set calliper and measure yours just to be sure

Hi mate Just wondering isn’t it illegal to do body lift ? I am thinking of buying a ranger with 2”inch body lift and 3” inch suspensions lift. So wondering it will be defected by police ? Thx

Depending on your state or territories legislation. Generally speaking its 2 inch body or suspension, And a wheel height increase of 1", so 30" to 32" as it only gives a 1" lift. if you have a ranger with 5" of lift and I'm assuming 35" tyres you'd be looking around a 7.5" overall increase in height. so I'm say it'll probably draw some attention. PX Rangers with 2-3" on 35s sit really good and don't draw heaps of attention. IMO on a ranger ditch the body you don't need it

I have a 2018 2.4 ad I managed to fit 33s without any cutting. What offset rom did you choose. I fitted a + 18 rim helped a huge amount with clearence and I fitted extended uca extended balljoints. I'm keen to do. Body lift after watching your vid. Did you have any complications on radiator hoses etc

Toyota Custom Worx I think I know of you rig, is it grey with the ken block stickers? I run +10, with +3degree castor ucas. But I can see + 20 would be the better offset. No complications, other than spare wheel winch alignment with the jack handle to raid and lower it. I just broke the plastic and it engages now

Just checked your vids nice rig ✌️ that’s definitely the tuna I was thinking. BFG tyres are notoriously small, they have a small overall diameter. that along with the wheels 8mm further in will make a huge difference. The Fulken tyres I’m using atm have a large OD its 840mm . I can’t remember the exact tread section width but I remember it being wider than my previous 33” muddies by about an inch as well. I’m planning on Maxxis RAZR next (another large OD tyre) it was easier to cut and be done with it.

@@HappyGoTravel yes that's my Tuna. Love your setup. Mines an auto so will try source a body lift spacer kit here locally but very limited in SA. Might have to have some Made up. Keen to see the body lift on my setup maybe I can fit a set of 35s

Hey I have a question, Fortunas are known for poor ride quality, after this upgrade and previous suspension upgrade, has the ride quality improved?? Thanks

Kickstazz in all honesty I didn’t find the Fortuner bad before I changed things. This body lift and my previous suspension project will not change the ride quality. I have had aftermarket suspension in mine pretty much since it was new. Aftermarket shock absorbers will make a big difference in ride quality.
