Bhai ye top level content hai....👏👏👏👏 I Want to buy innova for family. Which has automatic. For 10+years . since crysta dont have auto... planning for hycross hybrid. . But my worry is Toyota is known for reliability but i think it is for diesel engine....but Toyota ke petrol bi utna hi reliable hai kya?

Thanks a lot bro! Toyota petrol engines are also super reliable in terms of longevity. Now for buying hycross - you need to decide between petrol and hybrid based on mileage - petrol as claimed FE of 16 while hybrid has climed FE of 23 and in practical situations petroll will give around 10(will vary based on hills or city of highway, highway will give u 15 as well) and hybrid around 16(again depending on situation - hills or city or highway, highway will give u 20 + as well)

So my Point of view is that you should not worry about petrol engine reliability as that's not at all a problem. IN fact, i feel petrol hycross is more reliable than hybrid one due to less complexity . So please decide based on your driving usage, if it is very high then a diesel crysta/hycross hybrid will fit but if your running is less, then a petrol hycross GX will ust make sense for you.

Service cost for 10k kms was 5500 including wheel balancing (if you ask them to remove this they will simply void warranty) and service cost for 20k kms was around 11000 rupees

Nothing has changed for waiting period. And every showroom will tell u their own scary period, so check with your local showroom what’s their latest story on waiting period. Waiting period of hycross has been a real pain, people switch to invicto just because if this who need the car urgently and don’t not have any links/connections to lower down waiting period

Hi Sir, I am planning to buy Innova Hycross, but am confused to choose either petrol engine or hybrid engine. Our usage is very less. approximately 500 to 750 kms per month(most of the time highway ride only). so kindly suggest me which one is better for my requirement. also let me know which engine has low maintenance cost. because company service engineers saying hybrid engine maintenance is more expensive than petrol itseems, so they sugeest me to go with hycross GX variants. kindly guide me. Hello @ragunathanrajappan9930, there are two major differences between Gx(petrol) and VX(hybrid) - features and mileage! 1) difference in claimed mileage is about 7kmpl - 16 of gx vs 23 of vx! So whether you drive in city or highways, if mileage difference will remain more or less the same. For example, in some extreme traffic conditions, if the vx mileage drops from 23 to 16, mileage of gx will approximately drop from 16 to 9. So with this difference in mileage va the difference in price(6lacs approx on road difference), GX makes all the more sense over vx for the amount of per month highway running you mentioned! 2) Features: there is a huge difference in the features list and if you really news the features of vx that are not there is gx, then extra price of vx is justified for u as it will give you features plus mileage for extra 6 lacs. However if you feel that the features of gx are sufficient for you , then Gx is the right variant for you!

Additionally for the point of difference in service cost, there is practically very less difference. Hybrid service is slightly higher in 10th year, otherwise there is no difference. So please decide based on features required by you and your family to finalise the right variant! For you , vx will make sense only if u really need those extra features! Also, vx has battery placed under front two seats and the overall mechanical is complex as compared to gx ! So gx gives you more space for stretching legs of second row passenger under the front seats which u can’t do in vx or higher variants!
