The O2 sensor light could be caused from all the oil in the spark plug tubes went into the cylinders which went into the exhaust. A couple heavy right foot accelerations should clean it up

I did not think about that! There was quite a bit of oil in there! We will see if it will go away after a few trips.

Timing chain cover gasket will be fun. 2zzlow has documented several on celicas. Not too bad to do without removing the engine.

@@BrandonStellmachJust got doing it with my 03 XRS!! Not too bad of a job, but you absolutely HAVE to remove the stud for the serpentine belt tensioner. No way to get the front cover off without doing so. I learned the hard way.

The single wire over the valve cover goes to the power steering pump. I ended up disconnecting it by feel and pulled the harness out of the way, which made getting the valve on and off easy.

I couldn’t see where it disconnected, so I left it on! But it would have been much easier with it taken off!

@@BrandonStellmach There's a little rubber sleeve that goes over the connector that pulls up. You have to just disconnect it by feel unfortunately

The oxidation i was able to get rid of on my valve cover with some brass wire brushes & sandpaper. While you could probably wire brush it with a drill pretty quickly, I'm not sure how that'd turn out. I recommend painting it if the oxidation bothers you - I've been contemplating painting mine wrinkle black.

I have had thoughts about it! Because I could not easily get those oxidation spots off! But a nice black would be a good plan!
