I work for Toyota and in some of their models that have USB or USBC plugs inside they'll leave a gap for the cords to be able to come out without pinching them. That could explain that space you all pointed out.

I ferry around older parents and for people that say lifted is useless, remember that for mobility impaired people raising up the seat a bit higher than a standard sedan can make all the difference in ingress/egress comfort and loading/unloading the trunk. Simultaneously, it reduces anxiety about small road debris, curb height when front parking, or steep inclines off the street where you are less likely to scrape.

I've had multiple back surgeries and like Sedans because SUV's are a bit too high, but my sedan is tough getting in and out of too. The second I saw this car I wanted it. This car could really improve my life and it doesn't look like an old school Volvo.

@@luthersullivan5141 I said vantage point, not visibility. They sit very low compared to a lot of modern traffic, which tends to be crossovers, etc. And low vehicles are inherently more difficult for many people to get in and out of. 9:57 I am beyond disappointed that they did not include Teammate on the Crown. It literally has the Teammate steering wheel from the Mirai and the LS500H, but they excluded it for no reason. I would have bought it in a heartbeat, but I'd rather pick up a 2021 or 2022 G80 with HDA II and basically sleep at the wheel because of how good the lane centering is and how long you're able to go with your hands off the hwheel

This redesign of the crown looks revolutionary. Especially with the two-tone accents on the car's middle section from the front all the way to the back. It has lost some of it's luxurious features from the past, but I still love it compared to the crowns from the late 2010s which were basically downgraded versions of the Lexus LS. That lift though, feels weird but at the same time very practical when going through speed bumps and off-road terrains on the get go.

Pretty neat! it's not quite drifty enough to take it over the stinger for me though. Plus, twin turbo is hard to beat. But obviously I'm not the target demo lol. If I have to get a boring daily though.. it's in the running

So, this car competes with the Stinger, 300, and Charger...all three of which will be discontinued? Good job Toyota, you can dominate a segment that no one wants.

The only segment it’s gonna dominate is the same segment the Avalon was in before it was discontinued: it’s a car designed mostly for old people so that’s who it’s gonna sell to.

what a strange design for Toyota to build as an upscale vehicle. It's reminds me of the Honda Crosstour, ugly, awkward, disjointed, confusing... It's especially ironic since Toyota finally got the Prius right with the 2023 design.

@Paul the tires aren’t very wide 😂. It only has 225 width tires. How can that be? My Camry has 235 tires stock from the factory 😂

Would’ve been nice if Toyota used an extended wheelbase Murai platform with this powertrain for the Crown. IMO, more fitting of the name.

Fastback SUVs are generally strange, especially the new Crown which has a separate trunk, compared to other fastback SUVs.

Best old person car was the Honda Element. Props to toyota to setting the trend of slightly lifting old people cars. I like this but I’m poor so corolla cross for me 😢

We know we are getting old when the reviewers mention diaper changes, comfortable bolstering, hair (still) touching the headliner and leaving traction and stability controls on while going through turns. Next in line will be a preference for soft dampening and large bright fonts on all gauges.

Thanks for this video..good job. I’m a musician & a good stereo is important to me. How is the audio in this car..good or bad? Can it compare to the Mark Levinson in a Lexus es300h? Trying to decide between those two cars.
