Toyota MR2 Spyder Race Exhaust.. Louder Than Straight Piped?? Cold Start & Redline

In this video we have a quick look at the exhaust fitted to the project MR2..
It consists of a Toyosports Catless Manifold, standard main Cat (I've been told that these flow really well from factory)?! and a custom stainless twin pipe exit muffler/back box.
It sounds amazing but is extremely loud, definitely not suitable for daily driving!

Yeah it's a great fun little car, I didn't really know much about them until me and my son picked this one up in 2021 as a bit of a project together. We was at Oulton Park and saw the mr2 750mc championships there and was hooked. So far its been really reliable and any parts have been really easy to find and surprising cheap! Haha yeah I know what you mean! We've got most of the interior out too which probably doesn't help. I'll get some exterior drive by vids up soon too 👍

not so loud. measure db with our phone. i run decat exaust 92db cold, 110 inside /5000rpm

We added DB killers to make sure we would pass track day regs, and it measured 98db with their tester on the day (Limit is 105db static and 92db drive by). The microphone on my camera definitely makes it sound quieter. Truth be told I hate it 😂 If it was a daily car I definitely would swap it back, must be a sign of my age!!
