I actually did the same thing on our 87 truck. I got an inclinometer from a 4Runner. I did the whole dashboard removal which wasn't too difficult. There are actual hole cutouts under the dash where you drill the holes and there is the wiring harness to connect it to. Toyota made it easy to put one on. Although the 87 thru 89 the dash had a cubby hole for the inclinometer to fit more snuggly. This was around 1995 before the Internet, btw. I tried to emulate the Hilux look by also installing fender side markers and adding Hilux badges. The only thing I miss not having was the bed that came with the hooks on the side and the two latches on the tailgate.

That carpet looks great! It reminds me when me and my dad took out the carpet and put vinyl floor in our house. There was a material like the sound deadening, but it was just to level the vinyl floor over the pressed wood subfloor. And that sound deadening is some hard stuff to remove. I didn't have dry ice and when I got my Prelude the trunk had oil spilled all over the sound deadening and it was absorbed so I took literally days removing it with a chisel and hammer. I need to get some rustoleum probably to prevent rust from happening. Also the inclinometer looks very 80s and cool! I also at one point cleaned my carpet with dawn dish soap and it was so dirty but after a days work it looked new! I unfortunately didn't have the floor mats for it so I decided I would make custom ones, but after looking online for the perfect carpet I found a company that produces custom floor mats called Lloyd mats and I'm going to install them tomorrow, they were expensive though, but I think they'll fit well. I'll update you. The floor literally looks like brand new on the toyota though, it's absolutely amazing! Also your dog is really cute. Also, I'm going to go to a junkyard soon because they have two preludes in and I have always wanted to see all the cars and stuff it seems really cool, do you have any recommendations of how to do junkyard stuff, I know I should bring tools and stuff, but anything else you think? @trivelox15 I've personally never done house flooring before, but have seen it done and does look similar with that pad thrown down before the flooring, haha. Oh yeah, it's awful removing sound deadening without dry ice usually 😅. I did my EF with dry ice and it was sooo nice. The inclinometer makes travelling 25% more fun getting to watch the gauges move and elevation change, hahah. Yeah, those expensive flooring mats are usually worth the money because of how good they fit and the quality. And thanks! My pup is like my shadow, goes everywhere with me. Goodest girl, haha. I usually make a list for the junk yard so I don't forget anything that I need. Also, have another list of just things that I want to look out for like rare or desirable things. Always check out any cars that look modified for like cool parts or nice wheels for cheap, etc. And thanks brother! God bless you as well and good luck on the giveaway 🤙. @trivelox15 also, it's good that you're self aware of yourself and making sure media doesn't become an addiction, that's a great trait to have. Apps like Tik Tok have ruined people's attention span, etc. It's crazy. And it's also a source that can lead the eyes astray into temptation. So just be wise and self aware, which it seems like you already are 😎 🙏✝️

wanted to ask you about rust . Im looking to buy an mx5 mk1 NA and most of them have rust . Everyone says repairing a rusty chassis is very expensive and may overcome the price of the car . Is it true ?

@georged6959 yes, that is very true in most cases. Miatas specifically have rocker rust problems in the salt belt or very humid areas
