You are a Champion mate. Great work. The only thing I would add to to this is, once you have the door trim off remove the window rubber from the trim and install it on the door first, then everything goes back on square. Thanks mate 👍

Great video. One tip, I found it easier to pull the insulating window strip away from the door card, install it over the rim and then press the door card on to it. Much simpler, it was a real pain trying it any other way.

Good work mate. Saved me time in trying to work it out. Side note I found removing the hanging clip trim off the door trim, made it easier to clip on window seal then clip door trim directly to door / window seal.

You are the man! My two girls also decided the rear handles were great for using their whole body weight on - over time they did the same thing as your handles! Now I’ve got to replace so we can sell and replace with a Tesla. Thanks heaps for your insights in this video.

This is the second time I have needed this video, cheers. $83 from toyota. Just dont break the front handles as they are around the $300 mark each as they include the sensor I imagine.

Very useful- didn’t even know where to start. My door handle is also broken from kids- made me laugh when you said it. Where did you get your replacement? I’m looking at wreckers but seem to be hard to find, and Toyota aren’t much help where I live

Thanks Brian, Kids break everything these days. I got it from my local Toyota dealer as i had looked online with no luck with colour and in the end the quickest way to replace it was overnight delivery from the dealer. Maybe ring another dealer near by, may just have to pay postage ??? Good luck with your replacement of it. Overall its not hard.

I'm guessing you found a replacement but for anyone else reading this I had a quote of $85 from a wrecker or $85 from Toyota... given mine seemed to break due to age I naturally bought a new one.

Mine came from eBay for sub $30 each - I needed two. Plus some grey plastic primer, a small tin of Charcoal paint from Supercheap or other auto place. Some 320 and 800 grit sandpaper and clear acrylic top coat. If the Toyota ones are already the correct colour, it’s probably worth getting theirs as the eBay ones are a virgin black plastic ready for spraying. All AU$…
