What a legend. The most thorough disassembly video I've found yet. And can't agree more with what you said at the end. Thanks for this video!

Looking to add a dual USB port on the back of the grey plastic console so rear passengers can access USB charge ports. Could look down and see the 4 bolts, but wasn't aware of the hidden 5th bolt securing it in behind the half round black plastic piece. Yours is the only video thus far that shows how to get the rear portion of the console out. Thanks much, liking the fiddle music also.

I did just that, the dual port USB charger that Victor sells (via AMZN) also has a voltage readout, so I'm not sure your backseat guests would appreciate that. The electrical connector was a literal snap to install, though.

Is there a way to completely remove the center, keep/move the gear shift and reupholster underneath? I’m 6’5, desire extra leg room and willing to mod my gen3 Prius

You might be able to find someone who could do it if you go to a car show & look for vehicles with wild custom interiors and ask the owners who did the work. If I tied to build a custom console the parts would function correctly but it would probably look like it was designed by Picasso.

You know what? After seeing this video I think my cracked center console doesn't look that bad anymore

Man I dont blame ya. Seems like at least one of the Toyota engineers was a little... disgruntled while designing this.
