I just wanted to thank you bro, i have successful repaired or rather replaced the centre brush holder piece, i feel grateful i saved some money. Im in Eswatini, Southern Africa 🌍 🇸🇿

@1:09 You say "post". There is a kit on amazon that has a "post" in it. Could you do a video on how to replace that one out or even just remove it ?

It's called a commutator. Was your alternator light coming on and or intermittent? Were the brushes the problem? You didn't say.

Strange . Even after lot of rubbing ...mine is straight as a commutator 😅
