I have to correct you a little. The one you had in the video is the base Quest as that's what Europcar and Avis prefer as rentals. Then the mid spec would be the Prestige which has the display audio and alloy wheels. The high spec is Exclusive that comes with leather and LED headlamps. And the pricing quoted would be the previous Quest. But still a reliable car. And I'm sure you had a great time in SA. Oh and a viewer, loving the Gran Turismo segments

@@HSGAutomotive yeah so the first spec of the quest you drove had a mechanical key for base and Prestige. All trims had LED day runners but exclusive has full LED headlamps. A spec change happened and all trims came with Smart key. Oh I should mention I'm a Toyota Technician in Jo'burg. Random fact, the e180 Corolla sedan was made in Durban and exported through Africa and select European countries.

Gotcha, I did wonder why it didn't have the alloys, assumed they had removed them to reduce robbery risk

I drive the 2021 model and I changed the interior lights and driving lights to LED. Going to sell it in 2024.

Only spent a week there and back home now, but I definitely liked it more as time went on. I dislike change anyway so there was definitely some culture shock to begin with, but in retrospect I could even see myself moving there eventually, who knows
