Probably because the more the speed increases, the more the reading is false (as in the difference between true speed and indicated speed).

Since the car is limited to 250 kph from the factory, due to the speedo reading higher than real speed, we can estimate that the 263 kph indicated represent 250 kph. Simple. Nothing smart about this.

I know that not a lot of people like this car but personally I think it's amazing, the looks are very good, the interior is very nice because it comes from a BMW, it's also easy to modify and it sounds nice. So idk why everyone is making a big deal about the recent supra. People are saying that Toyota had to put the 2jz in but it's a 25year old engine, it's bad for marketing I guess and I understand that they needed something new. People are hating on BMW but they made the McLaren f1 engine and that's an amazing machine. I think that the pricing and for what I get it's an amazing car and Toyota did a good job asking BMW to help them.
