Luv the bags. I have the weather techs in my 14 TRD Off Road. They are a must have. I put a snug top on my bed. Must have. Keeps bed dry for storage and very easy to remove if you to haul large cargo, plus folds all the way to cab.

Very cool mindset you have bro. I moved to Canada from the UK 6 years ago and we have a 4.5 year old son. I’m excited to take the plunge and go off road. I’d love a Tacoma but we have a Cherokee Trailhawk at the moment. It’s a nice vehicle but it’s pretty small. Thanks for sharing 👊🏻❤️🇨🇦

Some really great tips in here! I need to build up my kit a bit more like yours. A couple other things to consider are a space blanket, flashlight, fire spark thingy, change of clothes or at least extra pair of pants and a sweatshirt. Also, always fun to have binoculars in the truck if you enjoy the outdoors - which could also double as a magnify glass to start fire.

Red I just bought a JL audio rd400 amp and the new kicker hideaway 10 sub with built in amp. I’ll let you know how it turns out. I’m using kicker cs speakers.

Hey thanks Tim, I should do a video explaining where my current mods. What details would you like. It has a Rancho 2.5" lift and 18" fuel wheels with BFG ko2's. If you wouldnt mind subscribe to my channel. You can find a video I did with the exact same lift on my friends gen 3 Tacoma.

Yeah because that’s what everyone wants to do is take out their nice carpet and put in “plastic” 🙄🙄. Sure!! OR you csn get good floor mats (weather tech) and not ruin your truck. 👎👎

The best way to get them out is with duct tape. Wrap the tip of the bulb with the tape the pull down comes out easily

Any problems with the LED bulbs blowing the circuit in the overhead? Read about it in one of the forums after I put LEDs in mine and my overhead blew - it did get replaced under warranty.

What is that RaceFace thing on your tailgate and what does it do?

That is a tail gate pad for carrying mountain bikes. Basically the back end of the bike is in the bed and the front wheel is outside the truck. Can carry up to 5 bikes. I big into biking and have a separate channel for that.

Nice vid. Weathertech mats are garbage. Especially the rear mats - always curl, like shown on the vid. I've used a heat gun - works temporarily. They just advertise a lot so people love them. I used Maxliner in my 2nd Gen Taco. Far more substantial, no curling.

Kinda tough to say... how hot is hot? More importantly, how was it taken care of and serviced. But for me once a vehicle its 200k 125mi I generally start to consider it old and worn. That being said they can go considerably longer .

The best interior mod is taking down all the horrible gray plastic panels, giving them a good sanding, and then spraying them black. I hate gray interiors so much, but my taco looks much better inside since I've done this. Looks clean too, like it was that way from the factory.

For the life of me I can't understand why y'all are putting in LEDs for the cabin lights. It's such a horrid sterile hospital bed tone of white. The stock incandescent bulbs on the other hand give off a nice warmth. Sure they may be less bright, but what about the vibes? lol I for one will choose vibe over brightness in that category.
