Honda Clarity, Toyota Mirai, Hyundai Nexo, Audi H-Tron, Chevy Colorado… etc. popular one is Toyota Mirai. In cities fuel refills stations are more. But long drive not enough fuel stations.

7:50 Bro, LPG is actually odorless, and the smell we associate with it comes from an additive called "ethyl mercaptan or tetrahydrothiophene". This makes it possible to add a similar smell to hydrogen for easier leak detection, just like we do with LPG gas.

A couple of additional info: BMW’s H7 engine was Toyotas tech collab where BMW got the technology from Toyota, They made this deal along with the deal for the Toyota MK5 Supra/ BMW Z4 G29 collaboration where BMW made the engine and platform for the Supra. The other point is the challenge for the hydrogen engine vehicles is not the engine itself, though not combustion engine, the hydrogen powered Toyota Mirai has been around for about half a decade, where as the main challenge is in the production and transport of hydrogen, where it is not yet fully feasible. Once it is available in every fuel station, then it will definitely be a game changer.

True, as per my knowledge mirai was launched in 2016. Using H2 there are multiple ways to ran a car, one is by using H2 as a fuel to our engine. Next way is using H2 and O2 as inputs in electrolysis process which generates electricity and it would be stored in battery and used like an EV. Exhaust would be water. Other way is by supplying electricity to convert water to H2 and using that to ran a engine. As discussed in video, H2 has many complications.

But FCEV has a lot of disadvantages with respect to passenger cars 1.low efficiency during short durations 2.For the higher cost of the car you get very low torque as compared to the Evs 3.I have to invest 3 times the cost of normal EV Car of same power output ..But it will be a success in commercial trick vehicles as it has good efficiency on long distance and it won't have the range anxiety as it can cover almost 80km per kg H2 .....u can store almost 12 to 15 kgs in truck ... Every source of energy storage comes with risk .. Even petrol is flammable.. Hydrogen storage control units are working good as we monitor H2 gas and won't allow more than 4% to the environment .. so many cars are running smoothly without any accidents coz hydrogen storage ....Some infos I shared as I work in Fuel cell Electric vehicles .. Many people have worries about safety, practicality, and the energy needed to split water into hydrogen. Influential figures like Elon Musk have compared hydrogen cars to running a hydrogen bomb. However, the truth is that it's completely safe and energy-efficient when we produce hydrogen on demand (No storage tank), using special materials for higher gas production and lower power consumption, as well as alternative power sources. There are various potential applications beyond just IC engines that I'm currently exploring. It may take time depending on the resources, but it's possible. LPG is also a by product of Cruse oil. Still it has emission and causes pollution. In future hydrogen can be cheaper than all fuels and emission is zero.

Nice video and thanks for bringing in a topic that is going to be the future in transport industry. The LPG gas what we use will naturally have no smell. In the manufacturing process they add a component called Mercaptanes in order to add the foul smell to detect any gas leakage. So we have to hope similar may be followed for H2 in the future

Toyota is an only company that announce that they will not follow EVs like other company. Even though others condmen Toyota,they stand still with their decision. Toyota also said EVs will not succeed. Toyota making their own way. Im working in automobile field. The EVs disadvantage is the cost of the battery. Its half of the price of the car. Even got issue to recycle the battery. If Toyota succeed it,then Toyota will be saviour of environment. I always love JDMs cars and admire with their invention

In Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC) expensive nobel metal catalyst such as Platinum is imperative to carry out the oxidation and reduction reactions. Now, all over the world several research groups are working onto develop inexpensive catalyst materials like MNC where M- transition metal N-Nitrogen C-carbon.

Am working for auto OE's since last 17 years in my views 1) EV's are not a end solution for current climate issues just a starting point. Disposing used batteries are still a challenge. 2) As you said more research is required in H2 as well as FCEV. 3) Hydrogen fuel is more dangerous than LPG (H2 storage has to be designed proper. Elon Musk once told the hydron cars of this generation are running bombs) We need to bring an alternate for Gasoline for sure. Commercialisable research in this space is much needed.
