It is coming back. they announced they are rebranding the store under the name Geoffrey's Toy Box and plan on opening stores around the country by November of this year. I read that as of Feb. 11, 2019, they are no longer bankrupt. there were other companies that wanted to buy the names, Toys r US and Babies R us, as well as the mascot, but they not to sell and instead rebranded as TRU Kids, Inc.

I used to work at a toys r us before they closed and when figures are marked for $0.01 they are usually taken off because they're supposed to be donated to a local charity. We were even told not to sell them even if the client brought it to the register. So these guys actually got lucky!!!

Yessiree...that was one of my favorite places to go in the Mall back in the day. Something about that store always felt claustrophobic, like the aisles were super narrow (even as a kid!) and everything seemed packed together. I recall going there for my Power Rangers back in the early 90's :) ...man, that and FAO Schwartz were the shit! Kids sadly will never no the amazingness that was FAO Schwartz. It'll forever live on in Home Alone 2, despite being called "Duncan's Toys" for...copyright reasons? Not too sure. The corporate center of Big Lots buys bulk leftover retail and resells it in every one of their stores. Those Flashbacks were NEVER leftover or overstock. Never. And Big Lots NEVER ordered any of them. I know that for a 100% FACT. I also know you're lying because there were only 9 States where the Flashback Elites were released in due to such shortage. And I bet you dont even live in one of those states. The Flashback line got canceled before the figures for that series were released. They released the very few that they had and that was it. None of those would have ever made their way to fucking Big Lots. Your pathetic story would be more believable if you said you found ONE (not 2, thats just stupid) of them at a small Walmart somewhere. No you never found 2, you never even found 1. And definitely not at Big Lots.

I used to see tons and tons of them in the stores and yes some of them didn't sell and were at least marked down in price so yes they had left over ones they didn't always sell.
