Thanks for the video, I found that when you open the kairo on top of the mountain or whilst hiking, it's sometimes too cold, so it doesn't heat up at all. On my way back in the train a day later it became warm. Have you ever had that problem? In my case it was about -11 on Yattsugatake...

Ah yes, I have experienced the same thing. Perhaps I should have mentioned to open your kairo at the bottom of the mountain instead of on the cold summit!
