I want to attach a total of 3 eap225 outdoors. I know I won’t be close to 500m but maybe I should go down to 2 eap’s? The other thing, how do I connect #2 and or #3 to #1?

You can set the EAP #1 as the main AP. Connect it directly to your network (router or switch) using an Ethernet cable. Then place EAP #2 and EAP #3 at strategic locations where they can maintain a strong connection to EAP #1. They will wirelessly connect to EAP #1 and relay the signal to cover a larger area.

Hi, i have a garden and i would like to have internet signal across the garden and at the entrance door, wich is about 100meter far from router. May i use the EAP225? and may i connect it to the router via wireless, without any ethrnet cable? thanks a lot

The EAP225 is a powerful access point and can cover a wide outdoor area with good performance. In open spaces, it can reach around 60-80 meters reliably, so it should work well in most parts of your garden. However, if you need to reach the farthest points, you may need additional units or a higher-power outdoor access point. The EAP225 does support wireless uplink, which allows it to connect wirelessly to another TP-Link Omada access point or to a compatible router with mesh capabilities, avoiding the need for an Ethernet cable. However, note that a wired Ethernet connection would provide a more stable and faster connection.

If the EAP225 units are too close and transmit power is set too high, they may be oversaturating the signal.

Hello, it is not for sale. We just removed the 2478 pair so that power can only be transmitted through the 1356 pair because the TP-Link EAP225 does not work with High-Power PoE which transmits power over all 4 twisted pairs.

I have T-Mobil 5G. I have two sheds and a garden. I need to extend my TMobile 5G wifi to my sheds. Can I use TP Link EAP 225 ?

You’ll need to connect the EAP225 to your T-Mobile 5G home router via an Ethernet cable or a wireless mesh/repeater setup. The TP-Link EAP225 has a good range, but the signal strength will depend on distance and obstacles (walls, trees, etc.). Ensure the access point is placed optimally between your house and sheds. The EAP225 requires PoE for power. If an Ethernet run is difficult, ensure you have a PoE injector or a switch to provide power.

It is good but the problem is the speed of the long range poe switch. It is only 100mbps while eap225 is a gigabit port.
