What do you mean? This lan port can only help you connect a lan cable to the extended connection. Basically an output, not an input

You guys are all showing wireless set up of this extender. What if you have a fast router and want to connect in another location directly wired to your LAN. I want to plug this component in to another location using my CAT6e based network so that I emulate the fast speeds of the wireless modem. Even the manufacturer's instructions of this set up are virtually non existent. Following their instruction actually slows my router speeds down to a crawl.
