seems clear if you wanted multiple chances, don't pick the lowest or the highest price. she picked the second highest price, assuring herself at least 2 chances. if the highest price was right, she'd get 3 chances for missing by 1. if the lowest price was right, she'd get 2 chances for picking the 3rd lowest price. so, unless you're truly certain the highest or lowest one is correct, pick one of the inbetween ones. you get at least 2 tosses and a 50/50 shot at $1000 if it's not highest or lowest.
