As someone who played a ton of NCAA 14, and knowing how the game rates freshman, I think he'll be an 85/86. Which would be extremely high for freshman standards in ncaa games. But him being a 90+ by week 3 can happen.

After watching how JJ's recruitment was handled last year and Hartline being quoted "As long as I am the WRs coach at Ohio State he expects Smith to sign with Ohio State". I can see why now. Smith was the number 1 overall recruit in the country last cycle NUMBER 1 OVERALL REGARDLESS OF POSITION!!! This isn't a slight at WRs this year but you can tell some parents are thinking that their son is parallel to Smith. Some are worried about Lamborghinis instead of development and want their recruitment to be somewhat similar to JJs in terms of prestige and reputation. Again, No disrespect to any recruit coming in but if a family is giving Hartline the run around I personally wouldn't want that player in our locker as a part of this program. Harrison JR was the first WR selected in the 2024 NFL draft. Hartline is one coach who doesn't have much to say because what does with his players works.

Can we just not? I'm very excited to have Jeremiah Smith and I'm looking forward to seeing how he plays. I'd rather not hamper my enjoyment of the upcoming season by comparing a true freshman to Cris Carter. Every year the expectations get built up so high. We've won nothing of importance for last three years. Let's start there. I just want to beat that team up north. We've been the more talented team all three of those years. Sick of hearing about talent and ready to see results. Season can't get here soon enough.

Although not as well paid. What about Caleb Odom, who is actually bigger, stronger, and just as fast and athletic as Smith, with a BIGGER catch radius. Again doesnt make the money Smith does. What about Derek Meadows, who is Taller, faster, and has a much longer wingspan than Smith?....I believe they will be the face of college football....

@@taxisquad11 I agree. So I've heard. But like Kirk B. said in a recent podcast about guys doing well in practice but not being able to get it done in games. I mean I have good vibes about the young man to but let him play in a game first. At this rate even if he plays well if he's anything less than great we'll be hearing about how disappointing he is. It's not fair to him. Just let him play.
