And more than 55 years later, we can still hear Johnny Gilbert on "Jeopardy!" Amazing...and interesting that Lever Brothers was still sponsoring "The Price is Right" even after the network switch from NBC to ABC

And speaking, ABC, as I've mentioned before, l presume that "alphabet" network passed up airing 1976 College Football season's XVIIIth Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl classic bet. Univ., Neb./Tex. Tech on New Yr.'s Eve night, 1976 (December 31, 1976-Fri.) because their affiliates in Eastern time zone were concerned that w/live sporting event such as XVIIIth Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl classic starting at 8:00 PM (E.T.) might have impact on its 11:00 PM newscasts' coverage, New Yr.'s Eve activities/in worst possible scenario, stretch into network's annual "New Yr.'s Rockin' Eve" musical 🎼 special starting at 11:30 PM (E.T.). Now that game on last day, 1976 could've been moved ahead earlier in day to 3:15 PM (E.T.) w/ABC's coverage, contest starting at 3:15 PM (E.T.), which would've pre-empted episodes, Mon.-Fri. daytime serialized drama series "Gen. Hosp."/"Edge, Night"
