I want to use it for a telecommunications company’s router. Its ports are usually fast, for Ethernet port 1 only. Will this switch be useful for pulling from the telecommunications and distribution company’s router port in a wider and faster manner?

I would like to introduce an important correction here! You're talking about auto-negotiation and how it relates to the nodes figuring out which wire pair is the receiver and which one is the transmitter, thus allowing you to use a straight-through or a cross-over cable with equal success. The feature you are referring to is actually "Auto MDI / MDIX". Auto negotiation is a protocol that network devices use to automatically establish the speed they are capable of exchanging data at, without needing an administrator to manually configure that on each device. Also, the video title says "SMART switch", which this little buddy is anything, but. :)

Your video was very informative. My new router only has two connections. I bought an inexpensive splitter. I connected my internet TV and it works intermittently then I have to switch to Wi-Fi. Will this device provide a stable connection for a TV? Thanks in advance. Thumbs up video 39

The netgear that costs twice the price is crappy, compared to this TP Link
