Very good. These are the type of reviews which show the REAL quality of electronics. Do you have the brand/model of the capacitors they are using on the low voltage side? These capacitors are the major reason why these plugs stop working becquse companies use high ESR electrolytic capacitors

@@shaikshirfan2608 Tapo for sure it's a resistive load. Qubo not sure please refer specifications.

Does this has any protection against inrush current? I plan to use this with 1.5 ton ac, non inverter. I didn't check how much it takes to start compressor, but I know for sure the value is 3-5 times higher than running amps.
@vikrambeyondreview8 ай бұрын
No, this device is intended for resistive load only as per TP-Link.

Excellent teardown and comprehensive review. I plan to use this 16 Amp smart plug to monitor the energy usage of charging my EV (slow charger 16Amp). How accurate is the energy monitoring inside it for my purpose. I already have a Wipro 16 Amp Smart Plug I use to schedule my Electric Kettle, although it's energy readings are very inaccurate. Will this be more accurate and reliable?

Bro, nice review. Thanks. I request you to remove the PCB and show how it is connected with bottom plastic tray. Also can we unscrew the three terminals from bottom plastic tray? I will remove the 230V to 5V powersupply and solder a reliable AC/DC converter to improve its reliablity.

3 pin terminals are solider not screwed.

Shall i use this for 1.5 ton inverter AC?

@@I-harishkumar No, this smart plug is only for resistive load

Sir please suggest me a good smart plug for AC
@vikrambeyondreview3 ай бұрын
@@I-harishkumar As per my knowledge smart plugs are resistive load. AC are inductive. You can still use a 16A smart plug. But it's longevity decrease and not advisable . Look for a smart plug the specifically mentioned for use of AC. Also smart plug ON -OFF - schedule must sync with current AC temp setting which is not possible.

I have the European version which has a different relay and a blue capacitor with no markings and unidentifiable code which is bulged, and of all the plugs that are stuck on clicking on and off the ones with the bulged caps are dead.

@mr.critic EU version has 13A max rating and Asian version 16A . So, definitely different capacitor. In general, it's printed on it.
