As in when you make certain decisions in life you have to make them for yourself rather than for what others think or what others want coz you're the one who's gonna live with them. Your family and friends all sorts will come into consideration but you know yourself certain decisions whether they are in the right or wrong direction for yourself 🫡💜

I’ve been purposefully bald since I was twenty with just a few interruptions for, the Caesar, 360 waves, natural curls, and braids. I’m back to being bald and I love it. I have to shave daily because my hair grows and grows and grows. If you are balding due to genetics please do yourself a favor and give yourself the opportunity to fall in love with your own bald look. Shave it all off purposely. Own it. Let it stubble up so ppl see you grow hair. It’s crazy how we care about that, but we are men lol

Hey! New to your channel so not sure if you've already covered this. But I was also diagnosed with CCCA almost 4 years ago. I was DEVASTATED to learn that it's progressive and can lead to irreversible hair loss. What I've learned during this time is that the most important thing you can do, is stop that inflammation. I believe CCCA is part genetics, but triggered by an event that sets off your body's hyper-inflammatory response. In my case, I had goddess locs installed (which uses 2 types of hair attached to your own hair) and several months after taking them out, I started having pain & tenderness in my crown area, followed by breakage. The weight of that hairstyle really effed up my hair, even though I didn't keep them in long and I can count on one hand how many times I've worn braided hairstyles in my entire life (proud lazy natural 😆). In your case, the weight of the locs may have triggered the inflammatory response. You can very likely regrow your hair, you just may not be able to rock long locs again to avoid setting off that firestorm, which is okay! Short locs are a vibe, too. Check out dermatologists who have a proven success rate in treating CCCA, like Dr. Crystal Aghu and Dr. Yolanda Lenzy. Some of them offer virtual consultations for those who don't live in their area. The typical protocol involves taking 100 mg of doxycycline for 3 months or so to lower the inflammation, followed by a compounded topical that contains minoxidil + clobetasol. You'd only have to apply it 3x per week in some cases, depending on what is in your formula. Hope this helps, and best of luck!

Tbh bro, you could easily transplant , 400 grafts to that area on your scalp. It was likely the tension of the locs and sebderm.
@TPlocks11 ай бұрын
I’m just concerned that will be something I get trapped into as the hair continues to fall out! Like the grafts don’t stop male pattern baldness right? (Still unsure if I have that) Will do blood tests next.
@Kyle_Bu11 ай бұрын
@@TPlocks you don't seem to have male pattern baldness though. That area that was bald was due to tension from the locs you had. You could simply just take 1mg Finasteride a day for your existing hair, but again...your hair loss was due to tension.
@TPlocks11 ай бұрын
Based on that would you even advise getting locs again? 👀 That’s secretly the elephant in the room for me. I’m trying to get back there but I’m legit not sure how to avoid it happening again.
@Kyle_Bu11 ай бұрын
@@TPlocks I wouldn't, but if you do go for locs again, go for something that has low tension.
@SureYoureRight11 ай бұрын
@@Kyle_Buhe didn’t even have his locs over twisted though. I don’t think it’s tension/traction alopecia. I think he has the alopecia that’s caused by stress. It’s an autoimmune disease. I have micro locs and have the same issue on the left side of my edges. Had it since I was a child. When I’m dealing with a lot of stress it thins. Sometimes the spot use to go completely bald but only the size of a dime so I could hide it. I haven’t had a flare up in years though and I attribute that to the oils I use that promote hair growth. I also changed how I respond to stress. It’s helped a lot
@Neesha24210 ай бұрын
I think you look good bald. You have the head for it. If you grow your hair out just wash your hair every 2-3 weeks and use carols daughter pomade on dry hair because it absorbs better on dry hair. Use a small amount everyday or every other day and oil your scalp like twice a week. You don’t have to wet your hair that often. You lock better without locs
