TR-8 SQ1 MS20 TRANSPOSE PITCH SYNC

Hi. How are you synching TR 8 with SQ -1? I've been trying to synch TR 8s trigger out to SQ 1. The problem I'm having is, it feels like Korg SQ 1 is receiving the clock in trigger as 1/32, not 1/16. I switch the Korg's internal note length to 1/16. It makes no difference. (I have to mute every other step on the Roland drum machine trigger out, which seems unnecessary). Any info, much appreciated. Thank you!
