Lo que más odio de este cortometraje es el no haberlo visto antes. No hay palabras para describir los tan bonitos sentimientos que esto transmite. El trabajo de representar la cultura mexicana y la homosexualidad es perfecto, al igual de las increíbles actuaciones, además de Benny ser mi actor favorito. Increíble trabajo, y aunque ya haya salido hace mucho tiempo se les debe seguir aplaudiendo. Gracias por darme estos grandes minutos de buena sensación de boca y el hermoso mensaje. El final es increible. Esa sencilla escena en que Carlos se mira en el espejo y comienza a afeitarse, aun en ausencia de vellos, hace alusion al despertar de una nueva etapa, deja de ser adolescente para convertirse en hombre. El descubrimiento del amor y la pasion es lo que te hace evolucionar. Final formidable.

Necesito una segunda parte! Esto fue increíble. La escena donde los dos están bailando juntos es sin duda una da las escenas mas bellas que he visto en mi vida. Tiene la canción “Yo No Se Mañana”. Escuché esa canción toda mi vida mientras crecía. Siempre me sentí excluido de ella y de canciones como esa; excluido de mi propia cultura. Pero en esa escena eso cambio. Se sintió como una celebración largamente esperada del amor gay en la cultura latina a través de nuestra danza y música. Gracias por esta obra maestra… De verdad. Maravilloso.

Es uno de los cortometrajes Gay más bellos que he visto. Lo qué parecía una mala acción del militar se convirtió en algo qué el chico nunca olvidará, tan grata sorpresa!! Por otro lado, no cabe duda que él Amor es Universal, ese bello Beso entre ellos es amor. Estoy seguro que cuando el militar regrese a México va a buscar al chico. Ojalá que haya una segunda parte. There simply isn't a bad thing about this short film from the writing, to the scenes, to the camera work, to the song and the dancing, and to the acting. It is beautiful in every possible way. Both of these young men are from what I know working actors. The taller one is on Netflix Mexico show called El Club and the shorter one is on an anthology type youth show called Como Dice el Dicho. He’s actually a solid actor for his age especially I’ve seen him as a young delinquent in a film called Chicuarotes and he does a solid job

"There simply isn't a bad thing about this short" Ehh, it's a fairly good short movie but I wouldn't say that there isn't a single bad thing about it. E.g. a scene where the soldier "borrows" the money box is rather stupid. Its sole purpose is to create the climax but it doesn't make any sense. He really didn't have to take that box, he could have just bought a new one and could have brought is "as is". Not to mention the new money box is rather ugly & creepy ("uncanny valley"). But I guess the creators just couldn't find one with more photorealistic image of a soldier. The characters dancing and kissing in public where everyone can see them also seems a bit unrealistic. And the "flood" scene is rather dumb, basically just an excuse for them to undress.

I've seen a lot of short films and this is the most beautiful. I remember seeing this quite some time ago and just stumbled on it again as I was looking for gay shorts to watch, and fell in love with it all over again. Every shot makes a statement. In less than 20 minutes, this short captured what some feature length films fail to. This is a beautiful coming of age tale. My favorite scene is the dance to Yo No Se Mañana. I love the transition from the background noise of the fireworks to just the song playing and Julio and Carlos having their first moment of intimacy. Subtle things like that reflect the true artistry of film making. And the ending with Carlos in the mirror with the shave reflects to me his awakening. No there wasn't any hair to shave, but symbolically I saw it as shedding his old self to reveal a newfound sense of self and growth.

Cada que veo este corto, me emociona demasiado, siempre lo disfruto y hacen que se me erice la piel con ese beso, tierno, sincero y apasionado... Claro que también se disfruta ver esos torsos, pero realmente eso queda en segundo plano al ver la actuación y empatía que tiene "Carlos y Julio", me encantaría una continuación, pero también me gusta que dejen ese final abierto a muchas historias... Agreed. They are torn apart and the boy joins the service/army also in order to get with this guy again. It's a struggle just to stay together but of course - they do. Speed forward 50 years, they both now work at the same, exact barber shop location where the boy still cuts what little hair the older guy has and vice versa. Now the man cuts the boys hair who is now an old man but he reflects back to their first meeting.

La continuación queda para que la inventemos. El chico guardará su secreto y buscará inútilmente encontrar otro momento igual. Llegará a aceptar su atracción por los hombres y va a buscar pareja puteando en antros. El soldadito está resignado a su suerte y seguirá cumpliendo con sus asignaciones militares con las aventuras que éstas le traigan. Es fantasía, pero creo que muy bien realizada.

I loved EVERYTHING about this sweet film, acting, music, ...amazing cinematography and directing! The kiss was the most perfect kiss, ...filled with passion, yet beautifully tender and innocent. Carlos softly brushing his face with the shaving brush and razor at the end was a tender metaphor for the boy's desire to feel the closeness of his soldier again as soon as possible. I watched this beautifully done movie a few months back with English subtitles and then it seemed to have disappeared. So happy to see its back with even better English subtitling that includes the English translation to Luis Enrique's song "I don't know tomorrow". The incredible thing about Roberto's movie is that it transcends language to where one understands the movie.....even if you don't speak Spanish. I'm definitely a fan of Roberto after this movie.... of course that goes for the stars of the movie, Axel Arenas and Benny Emmanuel too!

You see Julio take Carlos's shoes off, with his pants still on (who has sex, takes their pants off over their shoes and then puts their pants on back over those?) And you clearly see Carlos shake the piggy back and smile and continue to cut Julio's hair and shave him, after looking visibly upset when seeing Julio since that night. He isn't a predator, much less a sexual one and Carlos may look underage, but does that mean he is? No you weirdo.

I wish I spoke and read Spanish so I could read the dozens of views and replies. I know all of us want a sequel. We need to see these two men back together again. It a love story that needs to continue, even if a year has passed. I would really like to see a full length film about these two men, even with English subtitles. It was such a great start. Una storia di grande bellezza e di infinita e commovente dolcezza. Un film che trasuda amicizia vera, con la più bella complicità che può instaurarsi tra persone che si amano con tutto il cuore. È un incontro tra due affinità elettive. Nulla è lasciato al caso, in questo racconto. Delizioso il momento in cui il soldato torna con la scatola dei risparmi del giovanissimo barbiere. Assolutamente degno di nota il finale: passarsi in viso il pennello da barba, come per ritrovare un contatto fisico con qualcuno che forse non si incontrerà più...
