This is Brilliant on the TR6 motor. CGI made this engine look fabulous. Granted this engine is dated but in the hearts of people who got to drive the TR6 this engine holds a place of respect and in some cases reverence. Excellent video of this iconic British sports car engine.

Excellent video. I've had over 245 cars. Three of them were TR6s. A 73, 75, and 76. My favorite was a 75, Konis in the front, three quarter valves in the rear, 205/70/15. Sold for $19,950. The biggest mistake was putting a small block 350 in a TR6. Destroys the balance of the car, making it inelegant. I always wanted a PIE and a cross flow cylinder head.

I can’t imagine how you were able to do this. Very impressive. I had a TR4A with a similar 4 cylinder engine. They are big heavy engines. Lovely to get an ‘inside’ view.
@racketman2u2 жыл бұрын
Similar but not related. The TR4A engine was the same as earlier TRs, a development of the 4 cylinder Ferguson petrol tractor engine; the TR6 used a stroked version of the later 6-cylinder Vanguard engine.

Did the MK1 2.5Pi have the same motor as the TR6? We had a brand new one in 1969 and never had any fuel problems with it. She went like a rocket. Lovely car, lovely note.

Yes, more or less the same engine Richard. Very rare car now, less than six mk1 pi’s in existence
