Thanks James, went above and beyond with this one, I know it nearly broke you, hope the performance lives up to expectations. Fantastic engineering skills again, despite my pestering it was not allowed to leave until James was happy with it. Managed to get it running today and sounds sweet. Thanks mate.

Glad you are getting work from viewers. I think it's brilliant a car owner who needs a rebuild engine see's what you look for when stripping and prepping a new build, how deep you go when prepping the build for longevity of the engine, yes you spot problems on the bench and advise the customer, saves a return or a catastrophic failure miles in to the engine being run. Hope the bacon and egg roll's keep the team strong.

Im using ta 2150 Performance heads on my v8 build, using the generation 2 heads they look great inside with no visible steps, my heads came with a build sheet and specify everything on the build of heads with diameter/clearance/shims/lift/valve heights etc etc, they have also fitted yella terra shaft mounted rollers yt6761 which are designed for these heads,info on sheet it specifies that no pushrods guides plates to be used with any single or twin shaft rocker system in bold letters, chamber volume size are 37.8cc for future reference if you ever see these heads again, power output with these heads you should be pushing towards over 400bhp so I'm a little confused on a figure of under 300bhp,on a previous build with identical heads they produced 429 bhp, i got over 300bhp on rover stage 3 heads, these TA Heads have 1.94 intake and 1.60 exhaust

Hi Mr Grace and Bish, i redid my engine/TA heads, and was the one to have Yella Terra make a set of R/R for these heads. I initially purchased engine in car and ut had guideplates and chev ss r/r. 5lt rv8 on pump fuel, 10.5 comp and 530hp plus now. Get it all right and you will see the potential. I will shortly be looking to buy a TVR either a Griffith or a Chimera. Which is the best engine to go for. I was guessing the 500 although also the most expensive. So is there any of the other engine sizes that can produce the power of the 500. Regards. Steve.
@graceenginedevelopments Жыл бұрын
Hi Stevie, I'm not too sure on all the tvr model specs to be honest, but I'll look into it at the weekend
@jstdrv Жыл бұрын
The 4 liter will keep you wanting for more after a while, the 450 is a good one and the most reliable due to cross bolting. The 500 is a torque monster and very fun. A Griffith 500 is always going to hold it's value well!

Great info.. thanks for sharing
@Steviegtr52 Жыл бұрын
I ended up with the 450. Rebuilt @ 52000 miles. Now done 70000 so should be ok. Sounds silent , no ticks but a crappy idle. Changed the stepper for a genuine 1 & seems much better. @@jstdrv
