My Daughter is Trace and Victoria’s neighbor. She got a call from Trace the morning of this show. He was almost in tears he needed help finding his Dog to make it to the show on time. My daughter found him and Kept him safe until Trace got back from Bridgestone. Of all of Toby’s friends Trace was probably one of his closest and he really took it hard.

I have had the opportunity to "bump into" Trace over the last 20+ years in Frankin TN. Always as normal as can be. Be it in a Kroger or at a Kawasaki dealership when he would get parts for an ATV. When Trace walks in, you can't miss his height or his deep voice. Big man with a very kind compassionate heart. A genuine great guy. There only a few performers/actors that always have been a patriot; Gary Sinese, Toby Keith, Trace Atkins are some of the top.

@@gregdcross I don't doubt that for a second because I remember Trace's first season on the Celebrity Apprentice show and at one point during the last episode or so, he was shown crying because he was then reminded of why he was there on the show in the first place. ​@ChristineA-qs8gs literally not what they're doing. They sing to honor soldiers they both have done many uso tours and held fundraisers for veterans and wounded soldiers charities. These songs are not them acting like soldiers but paying tribute to them they're a way to say thank you and we see what you've done and what you go through and we appreciate you and you're sacrifice. They're a way to raise awareness and honor soldiers not steal credit. There's not a single soldier or veteran in that audience thats offended by that song

I grew up roping, riding, team penning and was on a horse right after chores and school. Later I saw Toby in Iraq on my 2nd deployment and I have to say….that man was nothing but genuine and TRUE American and I appreciated him when I was younger but appreciated him more for visiting our service men and women overseas when he never made a dime it only costed him money and he was fine with that. This song just came out when my dad was getting deployed to overseas, I am a Veterans daughter, he was. Gulf War, and a he served right after 9/11, this song reminds me of when he got loaded on that plane I was about 13 when he was heading over, and I was just a baby during the Gulf it hits different then others realize, I would play this song on repeat until dad came home

Toby's music was is and will always be a true anthem to the American people a patriot you didn't and don't have to like country music to know the profound impact he made on all of us his music makes us all have a fire in our hearts for this great country and I know whenever I talk about my younger self finding my patriotic fire his music will help others understand my love this country and help them feel that same fire i still feel to this day we miss you toby but thank you for helping me find my patriotism all those years ago 🇺🇸
