Rick VAN DER LINDEN rip grande virtuoso delle tastiere alla pari di Keith EMERSON rip, Rick WAKEMAN, JON LORD rip ,Tony BANKS, Hugh BANTON, Eddie JOBSON, John EVAN, Kerry MINNEAR, Patrick MORAZ, Francis MONKMAN rip, Evanghelos Papathanassiou in arte VANGELIS rip, Ken HENSLEY rip e non dimentichiamoci anche quelli di casa nostra vedi Vittorio e Gianni NOCENZI, Flavio PREMOLI, Tony PAGLIUCA, Patrizio FARISELLI, Ettore VIGO, Pit CORRADI, Joe VESCOVI rip , Gianni LEONE, Antonio SANGIULIANO,. Patrizio ALLUMINIO, Camillo FACCHINETTI detto ROBY, Gabriele LORENZI rip , Oliviero LACAGNINA, Massimo ROSELLI etc etc!!!!!!!! Rick van der Linden était pour la plupart au dessus du panier. Il a composé des œuvres magnifiques, quant aux œuvres classiques réinterprétées, le niveau est tel qu'aucun groupe à ce jour ne l'a égalé. Il était, il est et sera toujours un grand musicien aimé.

Saw Trace as support to Curved Air in the mid '70's . Very much influenced by the Nice and ELP and with the same keyboard dominated sound they made some fine albums .Pierre Van Der Linden was formally in Focus and Rick Van Der Linden in Ekseption two other fine Danish bands .

Correct me if I am wrong but both Focus and Ekseption are two Dutch bands. Focus with the famous guitarist Jan Akkerman.

Saw them live in this formation in the auditorium of a school in Zurich - incredible power, much more approachable and likeable than the "distanced" ELP (I even have a live recording on CD)

A shame it is so smudgy (I guess the original PAL interlaced video is missing) but great music. I wish The BBC would show complete old episodes instead of the same old clips over and over

I had to look them up. Here, Trace billed with Dr Feelgood who played out the credits In this OGWT session with "Roxette" - can you imagine the musical contrast to this? Fascinating. I will have to look up some more.

Yes! The "air" section is missing, but other than that, Trace was way better than the later somewhat lackluster Ekseption albums

Esse tipo de ROCK MEGALOMANÍACO é que fez surgir o movimento PUNK. Os punks se revoltaram contra esse VIRTUOSISMO MEGALOMANO, que nada tem a ver com a essência do rock. Os punks mostraram que quem só sabe três acordes na guitarra também tem o direito de tocar rock.

Besteira! Você tem que entender que o Punk não foi uma forma de Música. Foi uma declaração de moda. Se você quer falar sobre música "punk" de verdade, você tem que olhar para bandas como o The Who, os Rolling Stones. . . as pessoas que inicialmente tinham esse tipo de atitude punk, aquela coisa na sua cara. Mas eles tinham uma forma de Música para acompanhar. Esse tipo de surra em um acorde e apenas gritar insultos num microfone não constitui arte. Você pode chamar qualquer coisa de arte. Você diz que é arte, é arte. Mas a música não resiste ao teste do tempo. A moda pode. Pode ser um ícone da moda com brinco no nariz, "saia" escosesa, um cabelo estúpido e tudo mais. Mas, realmente, o que isso significa além de tentar entrar em um movimento de publicidade para ganhar dinheiro com o Rock? Foi só isso. Depois disso, era um gênero por semana. New Wave, Garage . . . Havia um gênero por semana.

Qui sait, si Mozart avait 20 ans aujourd'hui, quelle serait sa musique... Sans doute au goût du jour avec le génie que lui ont donné les bonnes fées à sa naissance, tout comme Rick van der Linden, au siècle de Mozart, aurait composé des œuvres géniales. Quant à " l'art", nous le percevons en fonction de notre propre sensibilité et de notre niveau de culture... Inutile de se tirer les cheveux, chacun prend son plaisir où il le trouve.
