As a young boy I remember all too well the bodies of a woman and her child from the famine, being unearthed by builders on the road out to Cappagh. And they weren’t the only ones found may years after those terrible days,

tragic times. some of my family ended up being convicted of petty crimes and were sent off here to australia never to be permitted to return home. looks like a nice place.

my town in northern ireland endured a terrible chlorea outbreak during the famine it done for more people than the blight, the graveyard and mass grave has long since grew over and fallen into disrepair
