I have this deck some years now and its really nice and gets better with use. The only " gripe" I have is that some of the images are strangly shifted over to the right side so that the white boarder is thicker on the left side and thin on the right - not centered properly. I just take it as a characteristic of the deck and live with it.

I like the deck too. I trimmed the borders off.

Hi Tracey. I enjoy these reviews. It's interesting just to see all the intricate artwork. A bit off subject---do you have an estimate (guesstimate?) on how many decks of tarot you have? It must be considerable. Also, do you ever retire any decks and no longer use them for readings, keeping them just to examine the artwork? Or do you have a specific "rotation" of the various decks and keep them all active? Although I myself would not be able to do any "readings", per se, I would be interested in purchasing a deck or two just to look at in a sort of cathartic/calming/contemplation, maybe after a stressful day. Might be a good way to "wind down" before bedtime, also.

I own over 300 decks. I do not retire any decks. I typically use them during certain seasons of the year or based on the mood I'm in. I've never sold any of my decks either. I do not plan to. I have some decks that I haven't used yet but I will eventually get to them. I know alot of people who do not read cards but collect them for the beautiful artwork. You may use them for meditation where you can take a card either daily or nightly & meditate before starting your day or before going to sleep. It's a great way to unwind.

I think the original 4 Swords on the RWS was supposed to be a knights tomb with the stone carving of the knight on the lid like you see in cathedrals here - not an actual knight resting on someones tomb which I think would be very unlikely. I'm not sure weather the artist who drew the new version did'nt realize this or deliberatly changed it to a living knight ( the book suggests he's resting ). This card is my only gripe about this deck. Its a beautifull deck nonetheless.
