One of Tom's favorite phrases in his songs & spoken word (which you should def checkout) is "been to hell and back" which references his struggles and how close he was to not making it out. He also says on a Brave 1 extra song (physical copy) "so there has to be good as long as there is an evil, so the only proof I need is the devil real" when talking about a belief in God. Definitely one of the most, if not THE most, awake and talented artists today
