getting a 5yrs visa for $10k per parent is costly but then again if u want to spend some quality time together and they can also stay here for longer then its a good visa to get I believe.

What Australian Government need to do now is massively increasing parent visa allocation to shorten the waiting time, even just temporarily. How many parents have 12 years (!!!) to wait anyway, on top of nearly $100,000 visa application fee to pay? Are they ripping off both parents and their children as well, since those fees are going to be paid by the children anyway?

Australia importing any elderly people on a permanent basis is insanity, a massive cost to Australia in aged pension, medical and aged care costs.

@@mistersmacky importing elderly people wow... as if you will never become old. When YOU get old, YOU will also be a burden to Australian aged pension funds, medical and aged care system. Face the reality, kid.

@@estellebright2579 Except I've spent a life time contributing to the Australian tax base already and the current value of my superannuation alone would mean I'd be lucky to get a part pension, maybe 20% of a full aged pension. Australia is under no obligation to look after the foreign elderly.

@@mistersmackyso what? because you think Australia importing aged people is crazy, those migrants coming to Australia would be deprived of the ability to bring their parents and other loved ones to live together? Or because you are lucky to be born in Australia, the country should just keep the door shut and never receive any migrants? On top of that, those "imported elderly" cannot even start to get aged pension from Centerlink in their first 10 years of residency. How many of those parents would be able to live 22 years peacefully before they can claim aged pension? Maybe you don't like migrants. That's fine. But don't label migrants bringing their parents and other loved ones as "importing elderly".

Hi, thank you for the info! I have a quick question, I’m a citizen, my sister is resident and my parents will probably apply to the 804 subclass soon, we have a sister that lives in our country but she will be coming on a visitors visa soon, she’s in the process of maybe applying to a sponsorship from a job as a doctor here. Do u think that having all her family unit here will be detrimental to her visa applications here? Thank you so much!.

what about if your family has two other siblings, one in each countries. can you still sponsor your only parent left if you live in Australia, but your sister in France and your brother is in England?

Hello can you tell me if the contributory parent visa is it 47,000 dollars per parent Is biological mum and step dad accepted under this? Also, if parents are still of working age are they liable to work in Australia? Can they live and rent or buy accommodation in Australia whilst the visa is undergoing review prior to being granted, thank you

Very informative V log , would you please kind enough to reply and advise me , as I applied 103 visa on 7 April 2021 having only one son and AUS citizen . Can I get bridging visa if I entered AUS on sub class 600 visitor visa . I shall be grateful and wait for your reply one thing more if you have any idea do they give any priority like my case

If have 3 children and all are in Australia and one jade citizen and I’m a single parent and I have a subclass 600 multiple visa but there’s a no further stay band at the moment I’m in Australia and is there any way I can reverse my no further stay band and go for another visa without exciting Australia pl let me know I’m so depressed because I don’t have anyone els in my home country and doesn’t have any place to stay .
