I'm sitting here with a glass of Pinot Gris, lights low, and listening to this classic. I'm reminiscent of how free and unafraid we were to love. Our heartbreak from lost love was a growing pain. I miss the warmth and the feeling music used to give us in the 90's. As I sit here, a 47 year old woman, I am grateful for the opportunity to feel the butterflies young love gave us.

Oh just for any future talking points of any older person who may be reading this. I've given my comments some thought. And we are examining the difference between a lived experience us young people can only know so much because we can hear about it. But we weren't there it's like someone can understand how it is to be black they may understand from a point of talking but a lived experience is different. Like me having nappy hair, it's very attractive and absorbent that's all nappy means . The difference between a lived experience and one that you heard about yall be easy #godspeed

What's crazy too is years later around jr high I heard this song come on and I just instantly knew all the words. I was tripping like how the hell did I know the words already. When it came on it was just hella familiar, that it was just imprinted in my brain hahaha the words came out hella naturally 💚

Wow I remember back in the day back in the 90's when female artists like Tracie Spencer, Aaliyah, Karyn White, En Vogue, TLC, Michele, etc. took music through an awesome light to go with Janet Jackson, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Whitney Houston, Brandy, etc. & man music was reigning supreme at it's best & I still today listen to those past songs because those songs back then are better than the ones that's out today for sure in my mind bar none.
