Track Adjustment on Our Cat 955K Part 2

After moving our Caterpillar 955K we needed to address the tracks loosing up. So we used blocks of steel to keep the track in place. Had to use the Case 1070 to pull the left track out because my truck wasn’t enough to pull it. Moved a few bales from Bitts to home also.

Just use the bucket on the loader, curl it back and put some tension on it from bucket

Interesting video!! A useful old cat. I love old industrial machinery!! As a massey ferguson nut I stick to their range of industrial equipment I have a mf 40 and 50 digger but I do like the crawlers and have an old mf 400 that is very similar to your cat but doe have a ripper on the Back.

We were thinking quick and easy for the time being. In the future we will rebuild to tensioner when we rebuild the undercarriage.
