Super helpful. I went to Sammy Virji concert and have been really inspired. I make mostly dnb, but have been fascinated by this genre and it has been good to learn about it from you.

Great breakdown. The chords/bass section reminded me of the Dave Spoon remix of Tyken - Every Word. Very similar vibe IMO.

it will be really helpful if you start a series where you remake songs from scratch and share your thought process while doing it

Thanks for the suggestion, I will look at doing something like this in the future, most likely as a livestream but I don't have a good setup for that yet 😀

this is great, could you try doing a track analysis of Peach by Salute/Sammy Virji? I really love that one and the way they switch up the song section to section
@Modul8online10 ай бұрын
Thankyou!, I've been looking for the name of that song for a while, I will put it on the list but I have a few others to make before that so it may be a while before I look at it, but thank you again for the suggestion, great tune. ⚡️
@matthewdemetree674310 ай бұрын
Do you have any recommendations for some quality uk style sample packs ? Always wondered what salute and Sammy use for there samples
@Modul8online10 ай бұрын
I don't know any specific samplepacks that I could recommend as I would mainly make my own samples by combining multiple samples, or synthesising them but here are some suggestions: Drum Machines I think a lot of the classic drum machines have good samples and there is a big free library on google if you search drum machine samples, but they might need a bit of processing to get them sounding powerful in the mix. Drum Breaks A lot of the drums in ukg sound like they have been taken from drum breaks though as the sounds are more realistic than the electronic synthesised drums, so you could download some breaks and slice them up into individual samples but you just need to be careful what breaks you use as some aren't royalty free and you may need to clear the samples when releasing a track. Acoustic Drum samplepacks are also very good for snares in particular, but again need some processing and shaping.

Idk abt ur other viewers but looking at a folded scale piano roll is so annoying 4 me coz u loose all the interval information which imo is necessary for understanding melodies luv ur work

Ah okay I’ll have a look how I can show them better, would it be better so show the none folded for the accurate semitones instead of the scale number?
