It's always great to see the first train moving, and getting to admire your handiwork! I think it's taken me over six months to achieve a complete circuit, so you're doing well! All the best, Ian.

Thanks! It seems like you're doing a lot of testing of stuff, which makes six months or so seem even faster.

I've found that taking your time reduces the pain, but you're right, it's not at all cheap. The good thing about the hobby is you can do it at your own pace, and there are so many things you can do in steps.

My small n gauge railroad is 2.5 feet wide, or 762mm. The track doesn't go all the way to the outside, so my curves are a little bit smaller. The outside rail is maybe an inch or about 25mm away from the outside. It was a little bit of a pain to get my flex track positioned properly as the outer track (of the 2) stopped a bit short of making it all the way around, and it was difficult to get a good, proper curve at that point after soldering to the next section of flex track. Peco code 55 has been great though. I've really enjoyed it.
