Great video and a great update. Great how to to show people as well. Some solid progress made while working in the heat. All the best, Clint

Thank you, yes that’s very true. That’s why I’m very grateful to my air con unit in the loft haha!

Great update Tony. Have you ever considered putting your droppers across the two rails instead of using the little tiny metal clip? I was given the same advise a while back and it all works fine and saves soldering the same job twice.. Cheers for now, Chris

Ahh, are you talking about when soldering the droppers for the points? Yes, but some points I really wanted to hide as much wiring as possible. That being said, could always use a bit more ballast I suppose!

Nice update. What about super elevation? I put plastic under the corck it seems to make movement of the trains less than if you place it between corck and track.

Thanks! I was considering super elevation, but made the decision not to do it in the end. Can’t remember why, but I know I had a good reason at the time haha!

You should get yourself a sleeper spacing jig. P H Design do one for £7.95 its very good and makes the job a whole lot easier.

I had a look at the various options (including making my own), but I decided to just do it by hand in the end. It’s repetitive for sure, but it’s not too bad once you get going lol!

I first saw them at Warley last year. But order the product from their website. I can’t remember it, but just put “Simplified Point Controls” into Google and it should come up!
