I had a 2008 SRT8 first edition from the dealership brand new . That cat was only used for cruising . Never out of my sight . Always garaged . Factory alarm you couldn't steal it unless you had a rollback These are attention getters and the wrong kind of attention . If these are daily drivers you exponentially run the risk of being stolen . Also somebody could airtag you and you have an android phone . Now everywhere you go you are being tracked for the steal . These cars are to expensive to walk into the mall for a couple of hours of shopping and lunch . That's reality folks

I relocated the OBD Port with a Y Splitter. One End I installed to the Factory Location under the Drivers feet. With that end I cut all of the Data Wires. You get Power and Ground but no connection to the Car. The other end is longer and I relocated to another area of the Car so It can be accessed but it is covered. You can also Tap into the Cars wiring in the trunk with the Z Automotive Tazer Security Bypass Cable. That allows you to use an OBD Port device like Car Lock in a hidden location. You can't access it by opening the Trucks Spare Tire Cover. It is up under the back part of the Truck near the Rear Seats.

An extra option to slow them down is the AirTag in a firearm. Lock box strapped to the seat to slow them down. They’d have to take the seat loose to get it out. That’s my plan.

Take the carlock and get the pigtail, splice it to the constant 12v in the harness under the driver seat and ziptie it to the springs. Ain't nobody removing the seat. A carlock in the ODB is worthless. It only uses power and negative anyway so theres no point in using the OBD port unless its a decoy.
