The movie presents a prototype of a tracked mobile robot for pipe inspection that can adapt to different types of circular cross-section pipelines that can be horizontal or vertical, rectangular cross-section pipelines, horizontal or inclined surfaces. The motion unit is based on pedipulators that can adapt to various types of environments. Motion in vertical pipes is possible by exerting clamping force on pipe walls. The robot was designed at the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, AGH University of Sience and Technology in Krakow.
