Will be adding the black stain also the wood grain highlighter and my favorite part restoring the Barrell coming up. Guns don't have to $$ to be good shooters and sometimes just need a little love and care to match the look with the shot. Want thank everyone for watching we appreciate all of you here at TrackemKY and enjoying bringing the things we love to do to KZbin. Don't forget to Subscribe were just everyday guys enjoying the outdoors and freedom we all love thanks.

Hey brother it looks good but you really need to strip the wood completely b4 you ever touch it with sandpaper. A spray on stripper will eliminate the majority of your sanding and it will help you to keep proper fitment of the action.

Why do you raise the grain ?

When sanding working from 100 to 220 grit it's good to raise the grain between sanding. After sanding with 100 grit sandpaper wet the stock and dry that will raise the fibers that's compressed into the grain of the wood . You can feel them and see them sticking up. Then sand with say a 150 grit and repeat and pull the fibers once again out of the grain. And then sand with 220 grit this will make it clean smooth like glass finish. And will give a professional finish look when stained with no ruff patches in the wood from fibers pushed in during sanding process
