I ended up with a coyote by accident. I found what I thought was a stray puppy so I took him in. I thought he was some type of mutt breed. He has the run of the house.

I've seen coyotes paint tunnels on mountains with the intention that a excessively fast bird will believe it's a tunnel and crash into the side of the mountain. However, their traps never work resulting in the coyote falling victim to it's own trap.

Honestly yall coyotes are not pets, you don't have to own every single animal that you find cute. Let them be. Seriously the only time you should take in a coyote is if it was abandoned, and even then you should wait and leave it for a night and if the mother does not come back, you should see if a wild life place or any educated place that takes in these kind of animals, will take the pup.

They mate for life. Same with golden jackals and some other wild canid species. The only time they find another mate is when their first mate ends up getting killed.

Coyotes are a pain in the ass when they are adults, and wild. And even if they ate 3 people a week in Chicago, the soft headed media would not publish it as such, given that it would go against the "awwwww cute" factor.

I don't care how cute they are. As adults, these animals kill more wildlife and domestic pets than any other human or animal. They will kill just for fun, including non-prey and livestock. No ones ever been attacked in Chicago by a coyote, because they thought it was a dog. People who have never seen what these disastrous animals are capable of, have no clue. That's actually proven false. Literally everything you've said has been debunked. I live very close to a pack of golden jackals (Eurasia's version of coyotes) and see thier behaviour every day, and we have wolves too.
