one thing, the transform node should be before the tracker node, otherwise, the movement is scaled too. in your video you can see that the logo moves a little bit less than the hand

Sorry total newcomer, do you mean I just need to link the transform node TO the tracker so it is 'before' it or? Sorry if this was really obvious

@@sarius2388 The order should be: Logo -> Transform -> PlanarTransform -> Merge -> MediaOut. Atleast thats what worked for me, im assuming marco meant that the transform node goes before the planar transform not the tracker node

You are a total champ! I just got this to work in a clip where helper carried a black board down an alleyway and I tracked a clip of someone else playing a song onto the board. Your tip about the high contrast was the solution to an earlier attempt that failed. Thanks v. much.

Thank you for the video! I think the Transform node should come before the Planar Transform node, otherwise if the size of the logo node is reduced too much, it won't be able to follow your tracker out of the reduced box

Thank you, this helped me a lot! I tried to animate it frame by frame, since it wasn't a long clip, but the movement I was trying to match was so subtle that I kept getting out of sync. This sorted it out and now it looks much smoother!

if you wondered, why 226 gave you thumbs down. They might get the error "Track failed: new track must begin at the reference time" when they try to start in the middle of a frame. Same happened to me, and so it's not working for me. Didn't give you a thumbs down, but help is appreciated.

If in one clip I have 2 objects but each show different time. First one and then second and each object is tracked to different tracking point. For example I say "This is point number one and thin is point number two" And I show 2 arrows one by one. Should I cut my clip to different clips or I can do it all in single fusion clip? Can you create short video on that?

I tried to take a picture and overlay it on a phone screen that was moving up and down, i've followed how you did it with the resolve logo but my PlanarTracker didnt follow the phone's screen. Any ideas?

What is on the phone screen? If there is an app or anything of high contrast try and track that and see if it works. How ever if that doesn’t work. Try tracking your hand or what ever is moving it. If you can track what ever is moving it, it should have the same motion and you should be able to get the same result. If that doesn’t work try tracking through the different channels in the planar tracker tab.

planar tracker doesnt work for me at all, it just stops tracking after a few frames even tho the area is perfectly visible, whould be cool to do it with a point tracker, at least for translation , even if it doesent track rotation and scale

I tried this with a box, the box was uninterrupted, had a high contrast frame, and never was covered up or changed during the scene, only moved. I did exactly what this video did but it stopped tracking after the 2nd frame, so it only tracked 1 frame. I am using an rtx2070s and an i78700k so I don't think its hardware inadequacy and cant figure out how to fix this problem, it is DaVinci Resolve 15

I'm currently having trouble with the tracker tool I want to track somewhere in the middle of my clip but it says new tracks must begin at the reference frame but when I move the beginning of where I want to track, it says the reference time 0 must be within the renderer range How to I fix this or must I create a fusion clip where it has to be started at that point where I want the tracking begins?

I'm trying to do this with a video with transparency over another video. the top video with transparency is very short, any way to keep it going or looping or play slower from within fusion or that pretty much needs to be done before going into fusion?

Try adding a transform node to the picture and readjusting it to the hand. That should fix it
