mobgma I just don't understand how they could sink money into an electric prototype bike and not go after the adventure market. Hell, I was waiting for Victory to make a scrambler or adventure bike based on their Octane.

HD and electric? I do not see it. HD tailors only to baby boomers and posers who want to be a "biker". The great thing about being a "biker" is that you can't fake it. You either have grown up riding motorcycles your whole life or not. HD has not appealed to the younger generation imho at all which is the only ones whom of which might try an electric bike. Not sure where HD is headed. I am a fan of them and Victory/ Indian motorcycles but when you compare the price/performance to any Jap/Euro bike, they fall way behind. With HD/ Indian you are buying into a lifestyle or perhaps groups of folks which is what many retired baby boomer folks want and lastly posers want the same thing.

Nobody believes you went 75ft in first gear “barely on the throttle” come on... if anyone thinks that’s true, they’ve never been on a motorcycle. Let alone a Harley.
