Been here 50 years. You always want to prepare but as long as the storm is moving and not stationary, damage is pretty minimal when prepared.

Yeah, did that when Jeanne went through. We lived in an apt. complex and what was maddening was that the apts. across from ours had power while ours didn't. Same complex, different units. Took them a week to restore power.

BEWARE everyone the European Models show that Ian will make landfall at Anna Marie Island/Sarasota or South St Pete/South Tampa. Traditionally European Models are much more accurate. Wishing everyone all the best. Pray hard that Ian breakdown.

It’s disgusting what companies do when there’s a hurricane! Last year I was on hold with I forget what hotel in Panama beach, in case I had to evacuate Pensacola beach for Ida. I literally watched the rooms go up hundreds of dollars while I was on hold 😑

The media is the worst acting like every hurricane is the most powerful ever recorded. Or putting out silly predictions of multiple major hurricanes like they did this year to try to prop their agenda, then when nothing happens they have to hype up the 1 storm as a major hurricane even though everything points to it being a cat 1 or 2 at landfall.

I went through opel and Michael. These waters are hot. The jet stream will pull this hurricane through rather quickly if the 2 meet at the same time at land fall. I do not see a weakening at all. Water tested 89 degrees. Expect a hard cat 3 possibly 4. That's my prediction.
