I can't believe it, someone has finally beaten the Z05 TAS, congrats on doing something that was thought to be impossible before, everyone thought that 2.92 seconds was the maximum on this map but you proved that it is actually 2.92 seconds which just shows that believing in yourself can let you achieve anything you want! Congrats on beating the game and the doubters!

Whilst air resistance isn't too strong in this scenario (as the speed of the air and the car's aerodynamic characteristics aren't very pronounced at this low speed, thus proving your tilt theory COMPLETELY wrong), and whilst we can't change key mechanical components (such as the flywheel, clutch, camshaft, and others), we shall then optimise the current components installed in the TrackMania racing car. Firstly, if you look closely, the tyres don't always have full grip at launch. From this, we can calculate the perfect air pressure for this specific tyre model (at ambient temperature), but we shall not lower it too much, as too much grip may also worsen our time going from point A to point B. Once done, we should enrich the air and fuel mixture, and change the gear ratios, assuring we have torque (and power) when we most need it. Making sure this is done and tested, and launching the car at the ideal engine speed, will guarantee us a tremendous improvement in time. Hope this helps!

Actually big mistake with the car colour: black colour absorbes all wavelengths, so at the end it makes the absorbed irradiance [W/m²] larger on the car. Due to more heat coming, hence more energy transferred to the car, the body itself will marginally increase in mass as explained in mass-energy relation, so making the car slower to accelerate accordingly with acceleration=Force/mass, being Force in this case fixed. There's also the fact that we don't know if the car has a limited-slip differential or not (and if it does, is it a fixed, a torsen or a speed/acceleration sensitive one?), we also need to take that into account when defining the optimal angle and the optimal moment (which could be either speed/rpm/gear dependent) to steer without losing too much acceleration due to friction and possibly non-optimal torque distribution. You might also consider to start your run when the wind that passed through the flags is no more in a turbulent state, allowing you to go through the fluid more easily and consistently over many runs (this would require carefully analysis of fluids in the stadium). Not to mention also the ideal moment of year (both date and moment during the day) to get the most convenient tyre/tarmac temperature for this short run (very likely to be during colder times due to less tyre tendency to ovalize and make rotation less efficient, also because yoo don't need exceptional traction for this particular map). Mate we need absolutely to datamine this to find out, there might still be time in the 10^(-7) s to save.
@Hektors2 жыл бұрын
Regarding the car color and the increased heat - how would you compare the negative effect of lower accerelation due to higher mass versus the positive effect of a longer car due to thermal expansion effectively making the finish closer?
@brim59542 жыл бұрын
Thanks for correcting me
@patrickhector2 жыл бұрын
There is also the issue of the increased weight due to dark pigments being heavier- painting a commercial black vs white would cost the weight of about 8 passengers, therefore you'd want your car to be plain white to save as much weight as possible (f=ma, reducing m will increase acceleration)
@justNexi2 жыл бұрын
Could a 2.92 be possible with this strat?
@tmjovins50442 жыл бұрын
@@Hektors this might affect the car, but due to the game fixing car starting point based on it's nose, no matter how long your car is, you'll have to cover the same distance to complete the run. Anyway the dilatation of material might affect car in a different way: the car body might marginally increase, modifying the starting aerodynamic specs of the car at ambient temperature compared with operational state (this particular map with these particular ambient conditions). Namely you might get a marginally higher C_{x} due to increased reference area, with a notable difference made by the fact the the body itself by getting longer will attenuate the apparent variation you might imagine just by getting a larger area as described, then this would need a proper study (you might also get that due to quite low speeds of the case you won't have any notable difference in order of at least 10^(-6) s).

After the deep dive into NFTs and coming back from live after death, I can tell you to slightly turn your car on the way down of the starting block and aim for a slightly lower tilt than 6,709° (you have to calculate the wind from the right to the left side) thats also why the only option is to steer to the left side. If you hit it perfectly you actually safe even more time but this can cause a timeloop, if it happens be sure to transcend your body at the exact time you hit the finish, this is the only way out of the loop! After this you have to switch into a different timeline, your old self is lost but this is the risk you have to be willing to take for the perfect time on Z05

Since air density is inversely proportional to the temperature, switching to night scenery will decrease the ambient temperature around the car, thus increasing air density nearby, meaning a higher oxygen intake, saving 0,0002s. Additionally, if editing the track layout is an option, orienting the straight line in the direction of the largest element of the wind vector (i,j) that isn't vertical (k) will push the backside of the car, notably increase the acceleration, saving 0,01s more seconds. Furthermore, while a small improvement, making the audience sir behind the start line and shout, will make the energetic sound waves propel the car slightly, saving 5 picoseconds (0,000000000005). Note that a minimum of 350dB is required, meaning that the audience will instantly suffer from audition loss, but it is a side effect of our goal: improving the time. Lastly, playing online with cars on, can lead to the well-known effect in Motorsport "slipstream", in which your car will drive closely to the rear of another one, to take advantage of the turbulent flow the lead car produces, drastically improving speed. This is seen commonly on the racing world, and it can save up to 0,005s done properly in this small track. I also wanted to improve further on one of your points, which was painting a car black - black does absorb more heat, but you painted it metallic black. A pure black matte will reflect zero light, as opposed to a metallic black. HOWEVER, as someone else mentioned, thermal expansion increases air resistance. This contradiction between white and black must be solved through physical testing, as it is the most trustable method we have available.

Actuallyyyyyyy when using a black painting, the car structure will be heated more easily, and with more heat, the area will increase as well. And we know that drag is propotional to the area. Then having a white car will decrease the energy absorved by the car, having a lower temperature, having a smaller car structure and then less drag, we will have more speed since the drag is less intense :)
