The thumbnail is awesome! Great review! The reason why people the fake twins is because they’re cheaper and have a Matt finish. For the faces, they can be fixed using Apple Barrel Dolphin Gray paint and spraying it over with a Glossy finish clear coat.

Cool review! I also had the twins too. Even though my Arry is a Hit Toy Company and Bert is just a trackmaster fisher-price, I’m still happy to own them for my collection

I have that same standard when it comes to knock offs, I won’t even buy the Mattel versions of arry and Bert, they have to be hit toys lol, great review man 🙌

What is with the uppity attitude when it comes to collecting toy trains, it's perfectly fine to buy the fakes if you know going in that they are fakes. They're still better than anything mattel has out since 2014

Slow engines are definitely not my type BUT i will make an exception for these two. I feel like their slowness makes them more sinister and serious. Looks like they're gonna creep up behind you and take you to the smelting shed, just like what they did with stepney

I went to a train show and got a duplicate of Bert, so I made my own changes, I couldn’t find any on eBay for a good price

I rather just get the original release of the Trackmaster Arry & Bert instead of the Chinese knock offs because the Chinese Trackmaster knock offs were so terrible especially they did to my boys Skarloey. But great review Dreamline, I can’t wait for your Christmas special later on.

To be honest the only good thing about the fake versions are the separate plastic faces, because you don't need to worry about the annoying paint scratches on the nose or big dents to the face

Agreed, while I wished I had the real Iron ‘Arry in my collection, but at least I got both the real and fake versions of Iron Bert (in which I am planning to use one of them as ‘Arry for my own collection).

However, I do disagree with you on the knockoffs of arry and Bert. The reason why is because if you hate paying so much money for the real ones or if you don’t wanna use any c cell batteries, I recommend you get the knockoffs.

BOTH twins I own are hit toys, I spent like $40 for both ($20 each) not a bad deal considering people spend upwards of $60-$80 on them each. Honestly it’s all just about finding a good deal. I don’t mind the fakes- and actually prefer the fake Dodge because he has painted eyes and is more durable and runs better than the official versions.
