It is hard to capture the awe inspiring immensity of a place like Alaska. I tell people that the hills are steeper then they look and the view is breathtaking, but I encourage anyone that has any notion of coming to Alaska to go for it as these pictures we take are nothing compared to standing on the edge of a mountain side looking over miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles.

@@katman1957 So very true my friend, Alaska is stunning. A camera takes the steepness out of the scariest hill.

Hello Chuck, Happy New Year, excellent video. I love snowmachine traveling. Living close to Hatcher Pass is great to travel to and I am getting ready to embark on a trip up the mountain. Thanks for sharing the beautiful country down there.

Always plan for winter in AK. It's beautiful but deadly. The wolves are hungry.
@RaisedinAlaskaКүн бұрын
@@cnlights2 I suspect this winter is making them a little hungrier: the lack of snow will hinder their hunting of big game animals.

No s'mores? Wasn't that Denali I saw in the distance? Regarding identifying animal tracks I would know a moose or a bear. The only track I saw was at 16:52 and I had to search online I still am not sure but my best guess was a Marten or an Otter. I only picked those because I didn't see anything else that looked quite right. :) Maureen

I’m adding smores to the list for this season.😁
@RaisedinAlaskaКүн бұрын
@@ERNurseCEN I need to add smores on for this season. I suspect that probably was Denali in the background, on a day like this it should’ve stood out. I think on this trip I saw bear tracks, wolf tracks, and another set of tracks that could’ve been an otter, or a porcupine. I think there was one other set of tracks somewhere along the way, but I forget. Thank you for watching.

@@RaisedinAlaska I love watching your videos. Of all your videos the fishing ones on the Copper River I find most heartbreaking only because the Copper River Salmon is my favorite food of all time. I am in Virginia now and it is difficult to find.

@ Of course, thank you for watching. Every year I look forward to visiting the Copper River. It is an amazing adventure and videos really don’t do it justice. Not to mention, the salmon are exceptional.
